Now, armed with a great team behind them, we cannot wait to see them back in North America, as we are more than ready to embark on a successful career with them!” Gerardo Martinez, General Manager Nuclear Blast USA, adds: “ NB is thrilled to see LOST SOCIETY return home after an independent stint. Special thanks to their management team Kristen Mulderig and Jouni ‘Grey Beard’ Markkanen! Let’s raise some hell!” Nuclear Blast Records is more than happy to share their vision and continue working with one of the most promising bands in modern metal. They redefined their style with the latest self-released album, ‘No Absolution,’ and found a new, even more successful, direction with a clear vision for greater things to happen. And that’s what happened to LOST SOCIETY. But I guess it happens at every family that grown-ups want to move out to develop on their own. Nuclear Throne Nuclear Throne is Vlambeers latest action roguelike-like about mutants that spend their workdays trying to fight for the throne in a post-apocalyptic world. The Finnish ‘youngstars’ had an amazing start with their first three albums of teenage thrash fury. Jens Prueter, Head of A&R Nuclear Blast Europe comments: “ Welcome back LOST SOCIETY! You always meet twice. And whoever has seen those guys live, knows the captivating energy they ignite that makes you wanna bang your head off! With four albums in total under their belt and tons of stunning live shows, the band has gathered a dedicated fan base. The next chapter of LOST SOCIETY begins now. I'll keep trying though.“After the release of our strongest album yet, we are beyond stoked to announce our return to the world’s biggest heavy metal label, Nuclear Blast. This past year has been all about writing and perfecting the LxSx sound, and we cannot wait to carry out our massive plans for the future together with the titans of the world of metal music. I don't think I'll ever reach the Nuclear Throne and I think that's fine. The current system is perfect for quick fifteen to thirty minute sessions, which fits into my busy schedule perfectly. In truth, I don't think I would want Nuclear Throne to have a different health and damage system. There is are so many items and combinations of items in The Binding of Isaac that I don't really care that I died at the hands of Mom for the third time in a row. But that game is much better at papering over my faults, by being much more lenient with handing out damage, providing lots of ways to get extra health (even if only temporarily), etc. I roll into attacks, fail to hit enemies, fail to react to attacks from multiple directions, etc. I suck at Binding of Isaac as much as I do at Nuclear Throne. As a result, a single session of BoI can take me over an hour.

Every attack does either a half or a full heart of damage. In BoI, you get three hearts, split into six halves. I love to compare and contrast Nuclear Throne with The Binding of Isaac, another rogue-like-like I really enjoy. So why even bother giving him two health?īut I also see why this health system is necessary. Every enemy in the first area, with the exception of the maggots, does at least two damage. A simple example: how many times can Melting be hit before he perishes? Melting can be hit none times before he dies. I think the game is just too brutal for me and I think it's a combination of me sucking and the health system. And every day I would get a few hundred kills, get a temporarily high position on the leaderboards and go to work. Every day I would get up at 6 AM, have breakfast, make lunch and do the daily with a random character in Nuclear Throne. Why?ĭuring the month of January of this year, I played the game every day before work. I have beaten Lil' Hunter maybe three times.īut I still play Nuclear Throne at least once a week. I have never come as far as facing the titular Nuclear Throne. I have never unlocked a golden weapon (besides Y.V.'s gun, of course). This doesn't even come close to the whole story. Nuclear Throne is too hard for me and I think that's okay.Īccording to my receipt, I bought the game on and according to Steam, I've played it for 48 hours so far.

I've wanted to give feedback to Nuclear Throne for quite a while now and I can summarize my experiences with it like this:
